Our Story

Welcome to Scent Kissed, a luxury candle studio based in the heart of Sydney, Australia. Since May 2022, we’ve been dedicated to bringing the warmth, beauty, and joy of candles to our community.

Scent Kissed was born from a love of travel and a deep appreciation for the atmosphere that candles create. We believe that scent has the power to transport you, evoke cherished memories, and turn everyday moments into something truly special. Our mission is simple: to help you fill your space with fragrance and joy.

Every product we create is vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and crafted with care. Our candles are made from 100% biodegradable soy wax and hand-poured in small batches in our home studio. We take pride in sourcing high-quality, long-lasting fragrances to create relaxing and memorable atmospheres — scents that don’t just smell good but make you feel good too.

Meet the Founder

Scent Kissed was born from a leap of faith and a passion for creativity. Ela Bernas, the heart and soul behind the brand, made the bold decision to transition from a career working as a therapist with children with supportive needs to pursuing her love for craftsmanship and design.

Originally from Poland, Ela’s move to Australia brought exciting opportunities but also the challenge of navigating a professional path. Throughout it all, one thing remained constant — her love for art, creativity, and the cozy ambiance. What started as a personal passion project, experimenting with candle-making at home, soon grew into something much bigger.

Scent Kissed wouldn’t be what it is today without the support of Ela’s husband, Kerem. From the very beginning, he played an essential role — not only encouraging her creative journey but also staying involved. Today he is also taking a part in strategic decisions, brainstorming sessions, and lending a helping hand at events. Together, they’ve built a brand that reflects warmth, craftsmanship, and a shared love for beautiful, thoughtful creations.
